Seeking Featured Dancers for the BHS Drama Junior Summer Playhouse Production of Lion King Jr.!

It was great seeing so many of our junior cast members at the auditions last Saturday. Because The Lion King is such a visually stunning show, we have decided to expand upon a concept that we have used successfully in past junior shows. We are auditioning this weekend for featured dancers for The Lion King. The dance ensemble will not be required to sing (unless they want to!) but will be featured throughout the production in choreography that is inspired by the original Broadway production and will really help bring the story to life.

We hope to see you at the Dance Call on Saturday, May 2nd at 3PM. Please enter Bayonne High School through Door 22 (by tennis courts). Wear comfortable clothing or dance class attire. Dance shoes not necessary, but optional.

Please Note: If your child already auditioned last Saturday, they do not need to re-audition, unless they are strong technical dancers and want to be considered for a spot as a featured dancer. The audition this Saturday will require strong improvisational and technical dance skills and will incorporate ballet, modern and African dance technique. If your child does decide to audition this Saturday after already auditioning last week, they will be considered for BOTH the featured dance ensemble and also a spot in the “traditional” cast.

Please email lorialexander78@gmail.com if you have any additional questions about the dance auditions.
